Fun Things to Do in Grindelwald, Switzerland | 3-day Itinerary

Switzerland was very clean and had amazing views! It felt like a Nature Theme Park. Grindelwald was our favorite! We’d love to share what we did while we stayed there for 3 days. *We went to Grindelwald in mid-September.*

DAY 1

Grindelwald First

First Mountain Cart

First. The ticket we bought was called 1 Activity Adventure Package. (Round Trip to Grindelwald First and 1 activity) It costs CHF 50 for each adult with a Swiss Half Fare Card. *We ended up paying for one more activity separately. (CHF 21 for single extra activity) We could’ve saved some money if we bought Adventure Package with 2 activities at the beginning.

*We tried First Glider and First Mountain Cart and both were so fun!

First Cliff Walk
Bachalpsee hike

Below is how we spent a day in Grindelwald First:

  1. Take a cable car from Grindelwald to Grindelwald First
  2. First Cliff Walk
  3. Bachalpsee hike (about 2 hours) Cute Cows!!!
  4. Cable car back to Schreckfeld and do First Glider
  5. Mountain Cart to Bort from Schreckfeld to Bort
  6. Take a cable car from Bort to Grindelwald

Bonus activity: The swimming pool at the Sports Center Center was free with a coupon we got from the hotel we stayed at (Bel Air Eden). Their water slide was very fun!

DAY 2

Jungfraujoch

We visited the world-famous Jungfraujoch! We spent about 4 hours there. The ticket to get there was pricy but worth it. (CHF 95 per adult from Grindelwald with a Swiss Half Fare Card)

Things to do there:

  • Sphinx Observatory
  • Aletsch Glacier
  • Jungfraujoch Ice Palace
  • Alpine Sensation
  • Lindt Chocolate Shop

DAY 3

Männlichen

We went to Männlichen and did two amazing hikes. They are called Royal Walk (2km round trip) and Panorama Trail (4.9km).

  1. Grindelwald to Männlichen One Way Ticket CHF 16 with Swiss Half Fare Card
  2. There is a fun playground at the Männlichen (They is a restroom you can use.)
  3. Royal Walk (2km round trip)
  4. Come back to Männlichen
  5. Panorama Trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg. (It will take about 1 hour and 30 min)
  6. Take a train back to Grindelwald from Kleine Scheidegg.

Grindelwald Glacier Canyon Walk

Grindelwald Glacier Canyon Walk

Grindelwald Glacier Canyon Walk was a fun activity in the afternoon. If you stay at a hotel in Grindelwald, they will give you coupons. Make sure to bring that with you! It was CHF 19 per adult with the hotel discount.

  1. 30 minutes walk from our hotel (Bel Air Eden).
  2. Grindelwald Glacier Canyon Walk (It will take 30 min to 1 hour to enjoy)
